MARKETING & PROMOTION INTERNSHIPS: Candidates must be able to assist in the coordinating and execution of promotions for live racing and special events, along with daily marketing tasks, sponsorship fulfillment, promotional events, activities & programs for Marketing & Media Department at Sam Houston Race Park. Programs include, but are not limited to: television and radio production, surveys, social media marketing, sweepstakes, customer loyalty programs, live racing, group sales & concert events. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays (Thanksgiving weekend, New Year’s Eve are mandatory dates) throughout the winter and spring racing season (November – April). Must take direction well and work well in a team environment; work scheduled shift in all weather conditions; lift/move up to 30 lbs.; act as SHRP liaison with outside event, media, sponsor and promotional contacts to ensure event is executed accurately; set-up all elements at event site including collateral, merchandise, interactive elements, giveaways, and sponsor items. Must be self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, outgoing, energetic, enthusiastic, professional & a team player. Computer skills with proficiency using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are required.

Part-time and full-time hours are available. Compensation will be determined based on experience.
